Help control your cost
We’re here to help you understand what you may be able to save on your degree – so you can help control costs and make the most of your savings. For example, you can access no-cost gen ed courses through our affiliate, Sophia Learning, then stack your savings with the Strayer Graduation Fund.
As a Strayer student, you have access to no-cost gen ed courses through our affiliate, Sophia Learning. Take up to two online Sophia courses at a time, then apply them toward your undergraduate degree.

Begin your degree with a new laptop
To help support your success, we provide new or readmitted bachelor’s students with a brand-new laptop. Enroll in one of our online bachelor’s programs and get a laptop, loaded with Microsoft software.
For every three bachelor’s courses you pass, earn one on us, tuition-free, to be redeemed near the end of your program with the Strayer Graduation Fund. Eligible bachelor’s students are automatically enrolled. Your opportunity to save begins with your first class.
Help control your cost with scholarships
At Strayer, we work hard to offer a variety of scholarships – so you can make the most of savings on your degree and control costs. We’re here to help you understand what you may be able to save.
Do you know a Strayer student, graduate or faculty member? Ask them about our Referral Scholarship. If you register for an eligible Strayer program, meet all eligibility requirements and maintain good academic standing, a referral can save you $500 on tuition.
Ready to get rewarded for your past work and reach your true potential? If you have 18+ transfer credits, you may be eligible to earn a $5,000 scholarship. When you’re ready to finish what you started, we’re here to support you each step of the way.
*Student is required to take two courses per quarter during disbursement period.
If you’re a Strayer University bachelor’s graduate ready to pursue a master’s degree, our Alumni Scholarship can save you $4,000. All you need to do is register for an eligible Strayer graduate program, maintain a GPA of 2.5 or greater and meet eligibility requirements.

Frequently asked questions
All of your exams, tests and assignments are completed online. You’re welcome to use the computers on campus where available, to finish your work or take tests.
You’ll use our online course room, Blackboard, for submitting assignments and viewing course content. Classes are 11 weeks long, and each week your work will be due in Blackboard by Sunday at midnight. You can access Blackboard through your student portal, iCampus.
Depending on the class, there are multiple textbook formats. Some are electronic only, with the option of print on demand for an extra fee. Some classes just have a textbook, while others require additional materials.
Transfer credits and get ahead
Finish what you started. Transfer up to 28 classes and your bachelor’s degree could be 70% complete, saving you up to $42,700.
Read important information regarding eligibility. The transfer credits policy doesn’t apply to associate or certificate programs or Jack Welch Management Institute MBA.

Our simple transfer process rewards the work you’ve already done by letting you potentially transfer credits for up to 28 bachelor’s classes.

Submit your application, and an admissions officer will contact you to discuss your transfer credit options.
Contact former schools to have your official transcripts sent to the Strayer registrar’s office, or see if Strayer can do so on your behalf.
Strayer will review your transcript, and your admissions officer will contact you as soon as possible with a list of approved credits.
